The Approach
My name is Doron Malki.
Today I work across different fields of design, but I’ve always lived somewhere between art and design - influenced by an endless collection of things that eventually became the collection of things you see here.
I love music.
I love surfing.
I love manga films, skateboard stickers, punk, metal, Turkish, Greek, and Middle Eastern music...
Pieces of paper, old magazines, napkins with faded flower illustrations, and all the random fragments that somehow found their way into my work. Some became functional objects, some became decorative pieces, some became both.
This website is the result of years of collecting, creating, experimenting, and keeping things to myself.
Only now does it feel like enough time has passed to finally share them with others.

Custom Made Surfboards
My surfboard designs are created through a personal, hands-on process.
Every board begins with a meeting.
I’ve been working for years in close collaboration with Hani Surfboards, and together we design boards that combine performance with visual expression.
The process is open and shared – we explore ideas together, refine directions, and shape a board that feels right.
You can come with a reference, an image you saw on Instagram, or just a feeling you want to translate into a board.
From there, we’ll figure it out together.
This is not mass production.
It’s a conversation, turned into a surfboard.

During the COVID days, when everything slowed down, I finally designed my own typeface - C-19. Rough, imperfect, and very much of that moment. If it speaks to you, send me a message and I’ll share it.
